A WALK WITH JESUS
When we walk with Jesus we are going to experience all kinds of different things. We will lose friends and family because we turn from our wicked ways.
(2 Chronicles 7:14) "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
When WE finally decide to truly turn from our wicked ways and follow him full time and stop just being a "Part-time Lover" you will see such a great and dramatic change in your life, you'll start seeing things in a new light. We focus too much on the how’s and when’s and ifs in life when we really should be focused on God. Recognize your problem but never dwell on it life is to short, you can have your way God has made us all free moral agents and responsible for our own actions either serve him or Satan
(John 5:30) "I can of mine own SELF do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
(Luke 16:13)" No servant can SERVE TWO MASTERS: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."
To be a Christian is a choice that we choose, to be a saved Christian is another story. I’ve met many people that said they were Christians and be in bars and night clubs on the weekends and never show evidence of even knowing Jesus. We have too many of these popcorn Christians that will pop in Sunday and then you might see them again on Easter or the church homecoming.
We need more Jobs in the church, someone who will fight the fight of faith and stick in there when all hell is raging against you, when you are dealing with unpaid bills and on the verge of losing your home and your vehicle but most of all your mind, the bible says to
“Be still and know that I am God” (Psalms 46:10)
It takes a sold out man or woman of God to really stand in and endure the afflictions of this world.
There were times when we all wanted to give up and call it quits but we knew that God had a purpose for our life and so we hung in and clung to the cross with our entire mite.

At The Cross...JESUS Save Us..

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Recently, I read a disturbing quote from a pastor of a large church near in our Church. He said, “I used to believe that we should ask Muslims to accept Christ as their Savior. But I don’t believe that any more. I’ve sensed the presence of God with Muslims, and I’ve come to believe that it’s wrong to try to talk them into becoming Christians.”
I don’t know why he changed his mind, but caving in on what Jesus has clearly said, is a betrayal of Jesus Himself. Jesus came to make a way to God by removing the one barrier that blocks everyone’s path to God—the barrier of sin. This meant that He had to die in our place to pay the price of sin. Without His sacrifice, there is no other way. Let’s face it; if there were other ways to God, then He didn’t need to die. It’s ludicrous to believe that His Father would send Him through the agony of the cross if it were only another religious option. To deny that He is the way is to deny Jesus.
But let’s get personal about this. While it’s easy to “be out” on a pastor who has bailed on the message of Jesus, we ourselves find it hard to tell people at the water cooler that we believe He is the only way. There are probably a lot of reasons why we tend to fudge on the issue: keeping culturally respectable, not appearing to be to the right of Attila the Hun, or just not wanting to seem intolerant or bigoted all stack up as pretty good reasons to duck when the subject is raised.
But at some point, we have to make up our mind about whether any of these pressures are worth betraying Jesus for.
Judas did it for 30 pieces of silver. And, to be candid about it, he had some pretty good reasons to bail. If he had stuck it out with the unpopular Jesus, he would suffer (as Jesus had told His disciples), be thrown out of synagogues, and perhaps even die for the cause. On the other hand, betraying Christ would bring him acceptance from the “powers that be,” safety, and security by aligning himself with the big guys—and some extra cash besides. Being like Judas is always an option. But let’s remember that he was no hero. When was the last time you heard of parents naming their newborn son Judas?
All I’m trying to say is that sticking up for Jesus against heavy odds is always tough. But it’s always right. Perhaps we have misunderstood the nature of being a follower of Jesus: We are to take up our cross and follow Him. Paying a price for Him comes into clear perspective when we remember the phenomenal price He paid for us.
I’m not asking you to be obnoxious about it, just humbly clear. And by the way, is there anything compelling about your life that would back up the words that Jesus is the way? Are you wonderfully different because Jesus is the way? Do people at the water cooler know that you are trustworthy, forgiving, fair and honest, joyful, and quick to speak a good word about others?
It’s always easier to speak up for Jesus when we have already shown up for Jesus.

The bee Sting (Christian Illustrations for YOUTH TALKS)

A vacationing family drives along in their car, windows rolled down, enjoying the warm breeze of the sunny day. All of a sudden, a big enjoying the warm breeze of the sunny days. All of the sudden, a big black bee darts in the window and starts buzzing around inside the car. A little girl, highly allergic to bee stings, cringes in the backseat. If she is stung, she could die within an hour.
Oh, Daddy, “she squeals in terror. “ It’s going to sting me!” the father pull the car over to a stop, and reaches back to try to catch the bee. Buzzing around toward him, the bee bumps against the front windshield where the father traps it in his fist.
Holding in his closed hand, the father waits for the inevitable sting. The bee stings the father’s hand and in pain, the father lets go of the bee. The father lets go of the bee. The bee is loose in the car again. The little girl again panic, “Daddy, it’s Going to sting me!” The father gently says, “No honey, he’s not going to sting you now. Look at my hand.” The bee’s stinger is the there in his hand.
Application:Paul exalted in I Corinthians 15:55, “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death is your sting?” Jesus says to us, “look at my hands,” He has Satan’s sting of death, the sting of sin, the sting of deceit the sting of feeling worthless. Jesus has all of those stingers in His hands. When you see the nail-scarred hand, realize that, on your behalf, Jesus took all the pain that could throw at Him. He reduced Satan a big black that’s lost its stinger—all Satan’s can do is buzz. That’s the victory that Jesus won for you.

JESUS SAVES

Jesus and Satan were having an argument about who was better on his Computer. They had been going at it for days, and God has tired of hearing all the bickering. Finally, God said, “Cool it. I am going to set up a test which will take two hours and I will judge who does the better jobs.”
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the key boards and type away. They moused. They did spreadsheets. They wrote reports. They sent faxes. They sent email. They sent out with attachments. They downloaded. They did some genealogy reports. They made cards. They was up, lighting suddenly flash across the sky, thunder rolled, the rain poured and the electricity went off. Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed out every curse word known in the underworld. JESUS just sighed. The electricity finally flickered back on, and the two restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming “it’s gone! It’s all gone! I lost everything when the power went out! Meanwhile, JESUS quietly started printing out of all his files from the past two hours. Satan observed this and became ever more irate.
“Wait! He cheated how did he do it?! God Shrugged and said, “JESUS SAVES.”

One Way

There is no lasting earthly satisfaction. Marriage, friend, family, money, fame, enlightment, travel, athletics, academic achievement—nothing complete our joy. Any satisfaction we gain in our quest fades quickly and become a vague memory. If it can be remembered at all.
Oh, to be sure, they are a lot of happy events along the way, unexpected are fleeting and we can never go back in time to relive them and recapture the sensation. Why then do we keep seeking for something to satisfy us? Simply put it’s because we have to. Whether we realize it or not, out souls are thirsting for God. Every aspiration, every longing of our nature is nothing less than a yearning for God. We were born for His love and we cannot live without it. He is the happiness for which we have been searching all our lives. Everything that we desire is found in Him and infinitely more.
John 7:37 says “Come to me and drink”. JESUS invitation. So, when you find yourself restless and thirsting for something more in life, all we need to do is respond to JESUS invitation. Go to Him, Drink freely of His grace and forgiveness and experience true JOY.
